We welcome you back to the 4th annual Islam Channel Eid Gala Dinner, a flagship event in London’s business event calendar.

This prestigious gathering will bring together the community to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in style, in an evening of fine dining, inspirational speeches and entertaining performances.

The event will be a gathering of Islam Channel’s friends, supporters, charity and commercial partners and colleagues, with political and community leaders in attendance. The evening will include a line-up of prestigious speakers as well as world-class entertainment.

Doors open at 6.00 pm with reception drinks and canapes.

Naz Shah is the Labour MP for Bradford West. She currently undertakes the role of Shadow Minister (Home Office), having previously been Shadow Minister for Community Cohesion and Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities Minister.

Sir Iqbal is the founding Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain. In a career spanning over four decades, he has been involved with many community and charitable activities both nationally and internationally. He sits on a number of boards and committees. Sir Iqbal has been awarded numerous times, including with an OBE in 2001 and a knighthood in 2005.

Councillor Hamza Taouzzale was elected to Westminster City Council in 2018, representing Queen’s Park Ward. He is the youngest ever councillor to be elected to the City. Hamza’s introduction to the council was, in fact, a few years before and came in October 2015 as a member of the Westminster Youth Council. Four months later he was elected as the member of the Youth Parliament for Westminster. As a councillor, Hamza was quickly promoted to being the Shadow Cabinet Member

He has focused on commercial and civil litigation practice, whilst taking a keen interest in the development of Charity Law and Family Law. Hammad is transitioning into his role as Global CEO of ILM Group and hopes to oversee its growth and development globally

Entertainers and Hosts

The band is led by Abdesselam, a Moroccan nasheed artist renowned for combining historical Islamic music with modern elements from different cultures. He has performed at many prominent interfaith events in the UK, using his art to break down barriers. His band preserves Islamic culture and history with nasheeds that have been passed down through generations, spanning the Islamic world.

Prince Abdi is a British-Somali Comedian, actor, and writer from south -London, who has appeared on TV screens across the globe. As well as being a regular on the UK comedy circuit, Prince has performed in various countries overseas, and has toured around the world including Australia/ Singapore/ Malaysia/ USA/ Canada/ africa and Europe. He has worked with the likes of Chris rock/ Dave Chappelle/ Trevor Noah/ Micheal Macintyre and many more.

Safe Adam is a British singer-songwriter from Essex, UK. Safe Adam first entered the Islamic Entertainment industry in 2012 and has performed sold out concerts all over the world specifically UK, Malaysia, Indonesia, Spain, Morocco, Canada, Jordan, Lebanon, Netherlands, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Ireland, South Africa, Norway, Sweden and USA.

Sajid is a producer, writer, actor, and broadcaster who has worked in the entertainment industry for more than three decades. He has played lead roles in dramas and comedies on primetime British television, including BBC TV's 'Byker Grove'. Sajid is the longest-serving presenter on Islam Channel, having started since its inception in 2004. Sajid acted in and produced the critically acclaimed US feature film 'The Tiger Hunter,' which won several awards. Additionally, he has starred in and served as the executive producer for the British comedy short film 'The Chop,' which was featured at the 61st BFI London Film Festival and has to date won over 53 international awards in both BAFTA and Oscar qualifying festivals. In 2021, he founded UK Muslim Film with the support of the BFI to improve the representation of Muslims on screen and across all aspects of production. Sajid has worked on major film and TV productions as a story consultant, advising on authentic representation.

Ayesha Tariq is a long-serving Presenter at Islam Channel spanning over 15 years in shows like City Sisters, Living the Life, The Today Show, Coffee with Ayesha and many more. In addition to this, Ayesha set up an organisation called All Ways Network (AWN) pursuing her passion to support local grassroots organisations working with Muslims living in the UK to become more fundable and raise awareness about the work they offer. During her time away from work, she enjoys exploring new towns and cities across the UK especially the mosques; making memories with the family and friends; and when time permits, plays a bit of jigsaw puzzle.
